Hey, so one of Amanda's former RAs (one she supervised at Columbia, not one who supervised her at Sweet Briar) is gonna be on "Survivor" this year.

He's the fourth from the left on the headshots at the bottom.


So, will we be watching the show for the first time since season 2? (I watched season three and a little of four, then an episode or two of the All-Star season) Maybe. If Brian gets eliminated, we'll stop, I'd think.

Problem is, it's on opposite "Alias" this year.

Better stock up on blank tapes. Or see if TiVo is compatible with the Columbi cable system.

Now, it's unusual that Amanda and I have known this many reality contestants, right? Maybe it's not that many: I went to college with the guy who won "Survivor" 3, and grad school with the lead geek from "Beauty and the Geek." I suppose I've met some of the comics from "Last Comic Standing" but that doesn't count.

Still, knowing even one is unusual, right?
